Origin of the African Lovebird

The African Lovebirds as the name suggests, originated from Madagascar and Africa. They caught man's attention in the middle of the nineteenth century and have since been captivated by man in both his imagination and reality.

Highly active, social creatures, the other features of African Lovebirds are:

  • They tend to be more noisy and aggressive compared to other Lovebirds.
  • Generally active by nature, these sweet creatures are fond of playing.
  • Simple wooden spools are a delight for them.
  • Small cages are best for them since they don't need much space for exercise.
